Zeeland Veterinary Service, a 2-doctor, small animal practice in Zeeland, MI, is searching for a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team! We value the education and skill level that a licensed technician brings and will reflect this in compensation and benefits as well as utilization.
Background and experience:
LVT with hands-on experience in a small animal hospital
Friendly, adaptive, and positive team player
Strong communication, organization, animal handling, and technical skills
Desire to uphold and build relationships with the local community
Ability to lift approximately 40lbs
Flexible schedule and able to work Saturdays
Responsibilities and required skillset:
Anesthesia monitoring and induction
dental prophylaxis and radiology
Assisting the doctor during appointments and procedures
Blood draws and sample collection
Maintaining and sterilizing surgical equipment
Administering medication, vaccines, and injections
Drug calculations and performing laboratory tests
Outpatient procedures
General hospital cleaning
Client communication and education
