Children and families are an important part of our ministry.
Do you enjoy caring for and supporting children's faith development? Are you someone who is creative and gets excited about imagining different ways to present who God is in a compelling way to children?
*Hours: *Part-time, 32 Hours including weekends and evenings.
*Responsibilities:*
• Invest in and deepen your relationship with Jesus.
• Form teachings, and experiences for weekly gatherings, and term groups.
• Be the primary teacher for middle school; teaching 3-4 times a month.
Coach volunteers in how to develop and present a teaching.
• Invite, invest and inspire life group leaders/volunteers by coaching and casting vision for their unique role in the ministry.
• Provide multiple modes of communication and support to parents and caregivers (email, in person, social, etc.
)
• Build and develop volunteer teams to support middle school programming and events.
• Develop partnerships with other youth pastors in the area and contribute to Fearless Student gatherings-- collaborating and building team synergy.
• Plan, lead and execute middle school events, mission trips and special services.
• Planning, leading, and executing leader training (sometimes in collaboration with the high school coordinator) and student retreats.
• Collaborate in development of curriculum for student ministries within the Fearless Student ministry team.
• Assist with upkeeping database, website and social media as related to students.
• Research and understand student and family culture.
• Interact with students before, during, and after weekend services.
• Go to non-church middle school events to hang out with students.
• Contribute to church partnerships and collaborations.

*Experience:*
* Preferred four years’ experience in church ministry.
* Preferred four years of proven ability to develop, lead, and motivate volunteer teams.
* Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and empower volunteer leaders in healthy ways which promote their spiritual growth and further the ministry of the church.
* Excellent communication and listening skills – ability to consistently encourage and support others.
* Strong logistical skills: Attention to detail, ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently, and objectively apply problem-solving skills.
* Preferred bachelor’s degree in a ministry field or equivalent experience.
* Willingness to participate on a staff team
Member or willing to become a member of a Fearless Church within 6 months of employment.
