*POSITION SUMMARY:*
The role of a Controls Engineer is to design, develop, and program Electrical Controls Systems for bulk material handling equipment.
This includes creating schematics, bill of materials, manuals, and programs and support customer, purchasing, suppliers and assembly team.

*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Design and release equipment per customer specifications and due dates
* Coordinate/communicate with purchasing, suppliers and assembly to ensure information is clear and achievable.
* Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design, performance specs or regulations.
* Support equipment run-off and testing.
* Support Pioneer’s standardization efforts.
* Actively support Pioneer’s ECR / ECN process.
* Ensure designs meet or exceed price, quality and on-time delivery goals.
* Exemplify a “can-do” attitude and entrepreneurial spirit.
* Promote teamwork, positive communication and cross-functional problem solving.
* Build Quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance to industry standards.
* Establish and promote a work environment of continuous improvement that supports the company’s quality policy and financial objectives.
* Monitor quality of incoming materials as well as finished products.
* Follow all lean, 5S and flow manufacturing principles.
* Use the Master Production Schedule, project planning and good time management skills to ensure efficiency and on-time delivery.
* Be familiar with the S&OP plan and support company goals and objectives.
*EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:*
* Bachelor’s degree – Electrical Engineering
* 2+ years of engineering experience (preferred)
* Experience with schematic design using 2D Cad (AutoCAD Electrical a plus)
* Experience with Programming PLC’s, HMI’s, and VFD’s (Allen Bradley and Siemens a plus)
* Ability to understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematic drawings.
* Strong computer skills (MS Office, email)
* Must have strong written and verbal communication required.
* Strong work ethic and teamwork skills essential.
* A strong history of on-time performance in a fast-paced production environment
*PHYSICAL DEMANDS:*
* Frequently required to sit in an office environment using computers
* Frequently walk, stand and climb ladders on the assembly floor to evaluate projects and solve issues.
* Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
*WORK ENVIRONMENT:*
* Regularly works in an equipment manufacturing environment exposed to noise, dust and vibration.
* Operate office equipment and computer.
*SAFETY REQUIREMENT:*
* Must wear all required personal protection equipment (PPE) in areas required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.
00 - $100,000.
