Team Leader-PB 2nd shift

Team Leader in Paperboard Dept - 2nd shift Shoreline Container Zeeland Schedule: Monday - Thursday 3pm - 1am Role Summary: Works under the direct supervision of the Paperboard Production Manager.
Provides excellent customer service by assuring daily scheduled production is completed in a timely and cost efficient manner.
Fills in for production manager in his/her absence.

What You'll Do: Assure daily scheduled production is completed in a timely and cost efficient manner.
Assist with training for new employees on respective machinery.
Assure completed product meets specifications of customer needs.
Assure customer expectations are consistently met in terms of quality, quantity, and product is produced in a timely manner consistent with established guidelines.
Assure all necessary equipment (tooling dies, specs, tools, etc) are provided to meet daily schedule.
Oversee and assure completion of preventative maintenance schedules for all machines of responsibility.
Maintain excellent housekeeping and general organization in the paperboard production areas.
Support and provide suggestions for continuous improvement activities to improve processes and procedures.
May be required to oversee production schedule in absence of the shift supervisor.
May occasionally operate powered industrial equipment (hilo).
Must maintain a consistent positive attendance point status.
Support and adhere to internal quality and safety programs.
What You'll Need: Ability and willingness to learn new computer software.
Thorough understanding of spec cards and correction of non-conforming product procedures.
Thorough understanding of Standard Work Instructions.
Two (2) years seniority as machine operator.
Must possess ability to accurately read a tape measure.
Ability to lift, bend, stand and twist over a long periods of time.
Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational and motivational skills.
Ability to maintain diplomacy, confidentiality and tact essential, as individual has access to high levels of cost, design and company sensitive materials.
Must be able to work with frequently changing priorities.
