As a DTC ecommerce Portfolio Manager, you will: Responsible to define, drive, execute and analyze strategic product portfolio, assuring continued overall profitable growth and market position.
Plans and manages product lines to assure successful design, engineering, production, introduction, marketing, and sale of profitable line, assuring continued overall profitable growth and market position.
Collaborates with other Product and/or Business Groups to ensure coordination and planning of global strategy.
Some of the responsibilities will include (but not limited to): Establishes product development roadmap strategy and execution to build an assortment that meets the needs of the evolving business growth goals and strategies.
Lead strategies, research initiatives, product priorities, and design attributes (functional and aesthetics) to support private labeled and third-party product; provides continuous reevaluation of portfolio.
Identifies, analyzes, and prioritizes market and customer needs to support portfolio development and maximize financial performance.
Translates market needs into product strategy and product definition to achieve portfolio goals.
Collaboration with B2B Product Line Management to ensure that DTC specific needs are met as an input to development and go to market launch.
Determines proper market introduction schedules, with ultimate goal of having right products at right time in market to maximize market share and profitability.
Identifies process improvements and efficiencies that maximize timely delivery while enabling/promoting innovation and creativity.
Defining short- and long-term product plans to maximize efficiency, in conjunction with all functional departments; coordinates resources of all functional departments in planning and developing products from concept to introduction to phase out.
Researches, vets, onboards, and manages new and long-term supplier partnerships, negotiating business terms, contracts, cost, and lead time to increase efficiencies in margin, speed, and quality.
Accumulates, analyzes, and disseminates data relating to product lines to make proper recommendations regarding portfolio management decisions.
Manages product line segment and mix to maximize financial performance.
Defines market size, segmentation needs, and trends to maximize product line performance.
Determines feature/function/benefit requirements to satisfy market needs and product strategy.
Defines short- and long-term product plans to ensure profitability and success of product or product line, in conjunction with all functional departments; coordinates resources of all functional departments in planning and developing products from concept to introduction to phase out.
Performs as project manager for new product development projects.
Determines product cost objective and establishes product pricing to maximize financial performance.
Determines product life cycle, based on market needs and competition, to maximize product line performance; establishes phase in/phase out plans, with special attention given to inventory control.
Do you have these required qualifications? Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Merchandising or equivalent.
Seven years sourcing or product development experience or related business experience (i.
e.
, Finance, Marketing, Sales, or Engineering) Five years management experience.
Experience in an omnichannel Direct To Consumer business environment.
Do you have these preferred qualifications? Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
Experience in sales or marketing in furniture or closely related industry preferred.
