On-Call SANE RN (Contracted)

*Open Position: SANE RN (Contracted)* *Posting Date: *April 10, 2024 *Hours: *Contracted on-call position.
A minimum commitment of 8 twelve hour shift per month, with some weekend and holiday coverage.
One evening staff meeting per month.
*Preparation:* Michigan RN licensure and at least 2 years experience practicing in a clinical role.
BLS certification.
SANE preparation desirable but not required.
Basic understanding of sexual assault issues desirable.
Computer proficiency required.
Must be sensitive to issues of diversity.
*Job Summary: *Provides care to patients that have recently experienced sexual assault.
Works autonomously to formulate a treatment plan and provide a compassionate, coordinated, medical forensic examination, which follows the standard of care of the International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN).
Attends meetings and trainings and participates in team activities.
