Youth Soccer Instructor

Description This is a part-time position under the supervision of the Recreation Coordinator.
This individual will organize, plan and facilitate Little Kickers Soccer classes to the community for the City of Holland Recreation Division.
Little Kickers is a childhood development program for ages 3 – 5.
The Little Kickers Instructor receives supervision and assignments from the Recreation Manager and the Recreation Program Coordinator; however, the instructor is encouraged to come up with innovative ideas to promote and grow the Recreation Department.
Examples of Duties 1.
Plan, organize and supervise Soccer classes for youth.
2.
Will be involved in Soccer program lesson planning.
3.
Regularly reviews and inspects facilities and equipment for any potential hazards and reports and submits repair/replacement requests to the City of Holland Recreation Division.
4.
Responsible for following safety rules, policies, regulations and procedures.
Completes accident reports and files them with the Recreation Division.
Provide a safe and enjoyable atmosphere at all times.
5.
Maintain a positive working relationship with other employees and the general public.
Maintain a professional image, in person, through email and by telephone.
6.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Typical Qualifications 1.
Must have experience in athletics as participant or instructor.
2.
Ability to pass a background check.
3.
Physical ability to occasionally lift/push/pull/transport equipment and materials weighting up to 50 pounds.
