The kindergarten readiness camp summer experience is intended to be a partnership between Ready for School, our partner school districts, and parents.

Status: Temporary Employment
Compensation and Hours: $16.
50/hour
Dates of Service: March 1, 2024 through August 11, 2024
Term: Flexible hours to accomplish independent tasks, with an active need to support daily activities of Kindergarten Readiness Camp during camp hours.
Job Description: The Kindergarten Readiness Camp Program Assistant is tasked with supporting summer programming preparations and operations.
The Program Assistant is responsible to support the Director of Operations and the Coordinators of Programs & Services.
They will work to support the student enrollment process ensuring families have an experience that are in align with Ready for School's values.
Additionally, support all aspects of the day to day functioning of the Ready for School Kindergarten Readiness Camp.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Summer programming preparations and operations
Provide ongoing support in the student application and enrollment process
Support efforts to ensure all our summer staff meet room licensing requirements
Support in the organization of camp materials before, during, and after camp
Engage in the family, student, and staff assessment process
Support sites by running essential materials to location and helping set up key events such: staff orientation and training, summer kick-off events and open houses
Other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree
Experience working independently
Qualifications:
Demonstrated support of Ready for School’s mission
Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with families from diverse backgrounds
Agility and creativity to shift plans in order to meet the greatest needs of the program
Dedication to working collaboratively
Ability to maintain confidentiality and commitment to students and their families
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate special events
Spanish fluency (preferred)
All candidates must pass a criminal background check and fulfill other regulations in working with young children.
