Monday – Friday School year/part-time Qualifications: Must meet educational requirements of Every Student Succeeds Act Legislation - Successful completion of ETS Parapro test OR - 60 college credits OR - College degree CPI training preferred Experience working with students with disabilities Good communication/collaboration skills with staff and students Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorders Job Responsibilities: Support student 1:1 or in small group Implement behavior intervention plans and reinforcements systems with the help of a supervising teacher Other Information: Knowledge of positive interventions, supports and good-problem solving skills Good collaboration/communication skills Experience in working with disabilities preferred Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.
This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
